Steve cleaned the garage
Don't have any "before" pictures. But there was no actual space to walk before the floor was completely covered with "stuff". The gorilla racks and some other shelving type items were removed from the laundry room to the garage, which is a better place for them in the long run.
The pictures were taken at night.

This is the pitch pile first two taken at night. Last one taken this morning looking the other direction.

The white stuff on the concrete and buckets are the remains of the tiling operation. Pretty much all of this is going to the curb on trash day

More Laundry room/Bathroom pictures Before
I have a few more "before pictures". I took these when had just put together my dog washing system, not to actually take pictures of the room. So, you get pictures of Shelby being washed as well as a general idea of the "Before" laundry room.
For the dog washing the hose is tapped off of the washing machine like so:

The long view through the door behind my back shows the small bathroom "before" I don't know why I don't have any pictures of it specifically. Maybe it was too hideous.

The louvered door was the door to that bathroom. There was no drywall behind all of the panelling you see in this room. No insulation either.
Note the dilapidated space heater to my the lower right. The gas company had to come out to disconnect it because our neighbors were smelling gas. It was all going out the vent, so we weren't smelling it. It is now history. With the room properly insulated, that space heater is unnecessary.
I had to crop this to show the detail. This doesn't do justice to the dirt encrusted hideousness that was that old vanity but is the only picture I have. Also notice the cheap panelling to the right of the vanity. No drywall or insulation, just a layer of rotting panelling. Oh, I'm sorry there was insulation. Broken chunks of styrofoam about 1/2 inch thick.
This was the first iteration of the "new" bathroom. We put a new shower in also. It is going to be painted differently because it was partially torn apart again when they tore into the walls to redo the electric, and we tore out the ceiling again to put in new insulation.
Formerly the "Blue Room"
This room is my favorite, although as far as actually remodelling goes I think the laundry room may turn out even better. I probably should get pictures of these rooms as they look now, with bookshelves and such in them. I guess it would give me incentive to get the room tidied up!
Before:

After: This is now the guest room/library. We have 3 bookshelves running along the wall on the right, and a queen size futon under the window so tall people will be comfortable.

New Floor
I have obviously been remiss at updating. I needed somewhere to post pictures of our new tile floor and remembered that this blog will let you post pictures. Steve provided some of the grunt labor and put the thinset down, however I placed the tile and did all of the grouting.

For comparison, this is what it looked like when we bought the place. The room was gutted down to the studs, and all of the electrical is brand new. Overhead can lights as well, although they aren't in these pictures. I want to have the room painted before I take pictures of the rest
